Unit 1: Week 11: Research: Water

I am currently researching the idea of interconnectedness and entanglement on a universal scale, and have been trying to find a connection or common thread between all that I am reading, whether it be Science, Cosmology, Philosophy or Geometry.

I’ve found couple of topics where these ideas intersect and repeat, and one of those is water. From a Cosmology point of view, it is interesting to note that “While Earth is only the fifth largest planet in the solar system, it is the only world in our solar system with liquid water on the surface. Just slightly larger than nearby Venus, Earth is the biggest of the four planets closest to the Sun, all of which are made of rock and metal.” (Source: https://science.nasa.gov/earth/facts/ – No Date No Author) However, it is notable that water is made with 2 elements from the periodic table: hydrogen and oxygen. So at a very basic level, water is also made from stardust – i.e. its basic composite elements come from space, but it cannot be found (in its combined H2O state) in space.

I am interested in energy and vibration – the fact that everything in the universe has a vibration, and what that vibration’s effect is on water. I am also interested in the fact that water is the ‘connector’ for all living things. There is not one living thing on our planet that can sustain life without water. It is therefore one of the ways that all living species are connected.

To the idea of energy and vibrations, if our bodies are made of more than 60% water, what effects can vibrations and energy have on us because they impact the water in our bodies?

For example, some humans (such as myself) can perceive pressure changes in the immediate atmosphere, meaning I can tell when a storm is coming. That is merely one extreme example, but as sentient beings, there must be other events happening on an energetic level that we are not consciously aware of, but that nonetheless are impacting us and our wellbeing.

Dr Masaru Emoto attempted to illustrate and reveal these ideas with his famous water crystal experiments. He set out to show that emotions, words, music and sounds had an impact on water, by exposing water to these sounds, then freezing the water to reveal the shapes of the ice crystals created in the water.

Dr Emoto’s water experiments have been heavily criticised and debunked by peers in the scientific community. Unfortunately, once a scientists’ research assumption has been debunked, other scientists appear to lose interest in continuing that research, and will often struggle to get more funding in order to continue that research.

Even though Dr Emoto’s scientific research is not currently accepted by his peers, it does not mean that his hypothesis is entirely incorrect. Instead, it could mean that nobody has been able to prove his hypothesis yet or that the knowledge base and technology required to do deeper research does not yet exist. Researching energy and vibrations needs to take place at such a subtle level – perhaps we simply don’t yet have the equipment or the means to test correctly and perceive results.
