Since the start of my MA Course, or more specifically since I began researching the topic of interconnectedness and entanglement, I have been meditating more consistently than ever before. During these meditation sessions I’ve started noticing various events and happenings: sometimes behind my closed eyes, I see swirling colours. Sometimes a deep forest green, or navy blue, deep purples or turquoise blue. In one session the colour will usually stay the same. Other sessions I’ve experienced foreign words coming to me. Other times I experience inspired thought – wisdom which seemingly comes from the universe, and leading to ideas and opinions that I previously didn’t have. For example, in a meditation session the idea came to me that black holes in space are likely gateways to other dimensions/parallell universes and that is why we have been unable to detect other life forms in out space – they exist in a different time-space continuum.
Last night’s meditation led me to think deeply on the circle. It is the universal shape – the building block out of which all things are created. It can be no coincidence that stars, planets, black holes (their event horizons) are spherical in shape. Entire galaxies rotate in a circular spiral shape.
In Sacred Geometry, the circle births most of the shapes such as the fruit of life, the seed of life, Metatron’s Cube, etc.

This got me thinking about poetry and art, and exploring the circle in all its perfection. Influenced by the works of Loie Hallowell, I’d like to explore painting the circle, reestablishing it as the eternal and universal seed. I took to ChatGPT to see what inspiration I could draw from AI. As always, what you get out of generative AI is directly proportionate to what you put in.
My input therefore was: “write a poem that eloquently describes this universal wisdom that came as a result of meditation: The Circle. The Sphere. It is the building block of all life. It is the shape of cells, the shape of planets – even galaxies appear to move in a circle around the sun. A black hole’s event horizon is the shape of a circle. On earth, fruits are circles – spheres. Many plants grow in a spiral pattern – the Fibonacci Sequence. Many shapes in Sacred Geometry stem from a circle or a group of circles intersecting at specific angles. Our eyes, the window to our soul, are spheres. Think of the Seed of Life, the Fruit of Life. Life is a cycle. Perhaps time is a circle – instead of being linear, it repeats and swirls and rotates without beginning or end. It is eternal. I am eternal.”
This is the poem, written by generative AI based on the above input which forms the inspiration for my artworks that explore the circle:
ln the stillness of meditation, I see
The wisdom of the universe unfolding.
In the perfection of the circle, the key
to understand the eternal circling.
From the smallest atom to the vast expanse
of galaxies swirling in cosmic dance
The circle is a shape of existence
A reminder of our interconnected persistence.
Like the cycles of nature, we ebb and flow,
in harmony with the universe’s grand show.
The circle of life begins to spin
connecting us all, from without to within.
In the depths of silence I find clarity
in the simplicity of the circle’s symmetry
I see beyond the illusions of time
to the truth of our nature, sublime.
We are all part of this eternal design,
connected by the circle’s unbroken line.
As I breathe in the wisdom of meditation
I embrace the eternal revelation.
The circle reveals the beauty of the whole,
in its infinite complexity, it touches the soul.
I am but a part of the grand design,
forever connected to the divine.
In the circle of life, I find my place,
embracing the wisdom of time and space
In the stillness of meditation I see
the eternal truth of our destiny.
