I have always wanted to make an artwork using 24 carat gold and nothing else. There is something about the look of gold and white together that makes for a very peaceful composition.
Gold is the 79th Element on the Scientific Periodic Table.
It is formed in the cosmos when two Merging Neutron Stars Explode, bursting their element-filled stardust into the cosmos, which is once again collected up as part of the ingredients for other Cosmic bodies such as planets, moons and stars in an infinite evolutionary cycle. (Hawking, 1988).
This is how and why gold is found on earth.
Gold is a trace element found in our bodies – it forms 0.02% of our blood. It is also found all over the earth, and on all other cosmic bodies (planets, moons, stars, nebulae, stardust). (Royal Society of Chemistry Authors, 2024).
It is birthed in the heart of dying stars, come to earth through billions of years of evolutionary cosmic events. (Hawking, 1988).
We come from Stardust. (Morgan, 2022).
